Mildred C. Utesch

Mildred Christine Utesch, 83, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born on December 25, 1930 in Georgetown, IL to Andrew and Arzella Acord. In 1951 she married William Albert Utesch, and together they raised their children, William Edward Utesch and Brenda Utesch Hedgpeth. A unique soul, Mildred, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed serving others. She loved the Lord and touched many lives with her faith. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville. She was a devoted grandmother. She spent 41 years working for various local businesses including, Interstate Printing, Mills and Cenco Hospital Supplies, Sewing Factory, Valmont, Chuckles Candy Factory and R&S Printing. She enjoyed being with her family. She had a love for music and was a Sunday school teacher for several years. Surviving Mildred are children; William Utesch, Brenda Hedgpeth; grandchildren; Nathan (Whitney) Utesch, Rachel (Thomas) Utesch Landis and Bryan Utesch; special nieces, Kathy (Steve) Light, Rhonda Woodrum; and special friend, “Boots” (Chuck) Bell. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Doyne (Helen), Donald (Inez), Dewey (Patricia) , Andrew Acord; sisters, Treva Frances, Veda Attan, Juanita Hall. A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A life Celebration Home with Rev. Paul Rebert officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials can be made in Mildred’s name to First Baptist Church in Danville.
