Flora Ann Slack-Lilley, 67, of Danville passed away on April 9, 2015 peacefully at her home. She was born on August 8, 1947 in Danville, the daughter of Lawrence and Shirley (Coffey) Slack. She married Tommy Lilley on June 7, 2000 on Dauphin Island, AL and he preceded her in death in 2006. Ann will be deeply missed by one son, Kenneth Morrison of St. Mary’s, GA, one daughter, Kristy (Darren) Martin of Georgetown, IL, one sister, Freda Colby of Benton, AR, four grandchildren; Quentin Varner, Devin Varner, Macey Falletti and Zachary Morrison, special friends; Joyce Pierce, Susie Landers, Rick Varvel, one special cousin, Juanita “Kay” Hall and all of her DACC family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers; Roger, Jurt and Daniel Kruger. Ann graduated from Bell Gardens High School and joined the United States Army in 1966 where she had some medical training. She worked for almost 25 years at Danville Area Community College as a Secretary. She was a certified CPR instructor, she loved photography, gardening, crafts, traveling to Dauphin Island and being next to the beach, her dogs; Bella, Bonnie, Clyde and Ayrie,. Early on she enjoyed swimming and even made the 1964 Olympic Swimming team. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ann will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
